Common questions

Everything you need to know

Straight answers about Diamond Coat, our installation process, and how to get started.

Is Diamond Coat Epoxy food safe? +

Yes. Diamond Coat is 100% solids and zero-VOC. Once fully cured (about 72 hours), the surface is safe to prepare and eat food directly off of. This is why kitchens are our most-installed application.

How long does an installation take? +

Most countertop installations are completed in a single day, walkable that evening, and fully cured within 72 hours. Floors typically take one to three days depending on square footage and prep.

Where can I find a certified installer? +

We have certified installers across 40+ U.S. states, Canada, Lithuania, Taiwan, and Guam. Use the Locations directory to find your closest team, or request an estimate and we'll route it.

How do I become a Diamond Coat dealer? +

Submit the Dealership Application. Approved dealers get wholesale product pricing, certification training, lead routing from this site, and ongoing marketing support.

How does Diamond Coat compare to granite or quartz? +

Granite and quartz require teardown of your existing counters and weeks of lead time. Diamond Coat pours over your existing surface in a day, costs significantly less, and is fully customizable in color and pattern.

What is microcement, and how is it different from epoxy? +

Microcement is a thin, cement-based coating that creates a seamless, modern concrete look on floors, walls, counters, and showers. Unlike epoxy, it has a soft matte finish and a natural stone-like feel. Diamond Coat offers both so installers can match the right product to the project.

Will Diamond Coat yellow over time? +

No. Diamond Coat is formulated with UV inhibitors and is non-yellowing, even on outdoor bartops, sun-exposed countertops, and pool surrounds.

What surfaces can Diamond Coat go over? +

Almost anything. Diamond Coat bonds to laminate, ceramic tile, wood, concrete, granite, and most existing surfaces. Your installer will assess and prep your specific surface during the estimate.
